Welcome to the ProEst Quick Start course!   

In this course, we’ll go over how Setting configurations in ProEst influence estimate production for end users. ProEst is a cloud-based product combining cost estimating, digital takeoffs, and bid day analysis in a single solution, ensuring that estimates are accurate, bids are competitive, and projects are profitable. 

Who should take this course?  

This course is designed for Administrators and Project Managers getting started with ProEst to understand how configured settings impact the Estimator and their workflow.   

For more detailed instructions on how to manage users, configure the overall system, integrations, and communications, take the Administrator course in the ProEst learning path. 

We also recommend the Project Manager course in the ProEst learning path for those who manage estimates, generate reports, and assign tasks. 

This course may not be suited for all end users. We recommend the Estimator course in the ProEst learning path for users who do not have access to Settings or manage projects.  

We’ll cover:  

• An overview of ProEst’s data information structure.
• How to complete the import template to properly inform the Database tool. 
• How assemblies are generated from formula variables, and how they work together to quantify items.
• Strategies to leverage sort types for optimized estimate creation and business use.
